 Latest News

Welcome to the FAFSA/Grants page. Here you will find general information as well as the latest on grants and changes to the FAFSA. Grants, like scholarships, are FREE money for college. That is, this is money you don’t have to pay back! Grants can be awarded by your individual state or by the federal government.

Not all grants are created equal. Besides coming in different amounts, grants could be given based on needs or achievement. The best way to see receive as much as possible is to turn in your FAFSA and your respective state form complete and as early as possible. It’s free and easy!
*Remember you don’t need to be poor or have a 4.0 to receive grants!
Get the forms you need at your local financial aid office or online (see below)

By filling out the forms as early as possible helps you to receive more. Most government programs set aside money for grants. Once that pot runs dry (you file late) you are less likely to receive money you could’ve received had you turned in your paperwork on time.
